All Judges must receive general training in rules of Odyssey of the Mind, as outlined in the Program Guide, and problem-specific training in the requirements of the Problem you will be judging. Our goal is to make every volunteer, whether new to the program or a seasoned veteran, comfortable with the responsibilities of being a Judge.
Be Sure You Have Been Registered as a Judge Each team is required to supply at least one judge for the State Tournament. In order for the judges to be contacted with training and tournament information, be sure you or your team has registered you as a judge. Instructions are available on the Judge Registration page

At Judge Training you will receive your judging assignment, meet the Problem Captain for the problem you will be judging, and get to know the other volunteers who will be judging the problem with you. Judging assignments are determined by volunteer preference whenever possible. Judging Teams partner more experienced Judges with novice Judges so there is always a friendly, supportive volunteer ready to answer any questions.
A big Thank You! to all our volunteers, without you we could not hold a competition!
